PIP in TF 6060CI

Hi guys,

I'm from Russia. Sorry, I do not speak German, so my question is in English.

I've purchased TF 6060CI with Viaccess card RedCam to watch Russian sattelite TV.

Specialists installed for me configuration with twin head and with two separate cables (because this TF has two tuners according to description). But as occurs, the function PIP does not work: I can see only black square instead of second channel.

They tried to convince me that this is a bug in TF firmware. I.e. such problem will disappear after updating firmware, promising to deliver me this firmware during month or so.

But I still have doubts, so does anybody has such problem with TF 6060CI?

Are the two channels which you are watching on different transponders and are they encrypted? If yes: It is normal that you can't see both channels, because the Topfield can't decrypt two encrypted channels from different transponders at the same time.

You must distingisch between these cases:

a) Two free-to-air channels work fine on PIP.
b) One encrypted Channel + one free-to-air channel works fine on PIP.
c) Two encrypted Channel on the same transponder could work, but this depends from the CI module which you are using (it works with some modules, but it doesn't work with others)
d) Two encrypted Channel on different transponders does never work

But I suppose this is not such a case. As i know, CI module I use can be used w/o problems in PVR series of TF. Also, channels from the same transpoder do not work too, unfortunately.

Yes, but only the cases a) and b) from above.

And perhaps c) (I am not sure about that one).

Case d) doesn't work fur sure as Topfield doesn't support this featutre for external CAMs.

Do a) and b) work on your receiver?

I am not familiar with the Viaccess RedCam. If you don't see something like "Descramble multiple services" in the menue of the CAM, then case c) won't work with your CAM.
